Wow! Just wow =)

And our roof window – we have three of these… Chris isn’t so thrilled about the black section under, but we’ll wait to see if that is the final finish according to our builder – they *may* paint it to match the roof.

More pics =)

No work being done today. Yet. There is still this afternoon, but not really liking our chances. They still need to finish off the roof. Trim bits, add capping, etc

Here’s a shot from the front of our house this morning. This is where they left off yesterday. They did a amazing job to get such a huge amount of roofing done! Looks awesome =)

We weren’t expecting this as all the tradies are meant to be on leave! More pics later =)

So… Today we went to check up on the house wondering if the roofing contractors had started on the roof installation as of yet (we were told Monday or Tuesday, but assumed that the weather was keeping them away – HOT!!!!). What we found was this:

Why, yes… The front of the house does appear to have darker and lighter sections. That is PAINT that you see. PAINT!!!!! AND guttering!

The back of the house has also been done. Here’s some pics to show how it looks against our beautiful windows – just ignore the plastic and tape around them =)

And, of course, the guttering has been put on… So here’s our paint colour against the colour of our gutters (which will also be the colour of our fascias and roof!).

Colour me rapt (all puns intended!!)

Updated pics from this afternoon:

and another update, the cigarette burn that we found on Alyssa’s bedroom window after the contractors had left. Grrrrrr! Chris noticed the smoke butt on the window sill, and saw the burn underneath when he went to move it off. Just seeing the butt there was annoying enough, but the burn is so much worse. They’d better fix it!! We didn’t pay a fortune for cigarette-burnt-western red cedar!!
